On Friday 22nd April over 230 people joined us at Cowlick Hall for what was our first charity ball. The event was sponsored by Savanna Rags Int Ltd and as well as ourselves the other charity which we were raising funds for was APTCOO another Mansfield based charity.

The evening had a circus theme and guests were welcomed by our wonderful stilt walkers, table magician, caricaturist and The Bow Belles.

The evening got off to a wonderful start and when everyone was seated the VIP Enid Bakewell welcomed our guests and introduced speakers from The Trust and Aptcoo. As well as coming together to have a good time there was also an important aim which was to raise as much as we could for our respective charities.

As well as a silent auction that was running all evening we were entertained with some table games between courses and after dinner it was left to our Patron Cllr Bosnjak to close formalities and hand over to our MC for the live auction and raffle.

Time passed so quickly and thankfully the weather was kind to us, despite it being slightly chilly our guests ventured outside to see the remarkable firework display which also officially marked the start of party time where everyone (organisers included) got to kick back relax and enjoy the disco until carriages arrived at 1am.

We can not thank everyone enough and are truly overwhelmed by the generosity of all those that supported and attended the event, we can now proudly announce that we raised £8000.
